The following weekend we were off again - this time to Maseru (capital of Lesotho) - south-west out of Joburg, Vereeniging, Parys, Kroonstad, Bloemfontein, then directly east via Ladybrand and across the border into Lesotho - about 330 to 350 miles.
Check into the Holiday Inn - and there they are again!! Ross and Georgina!! Again we'd both traveled hundreds of miles only to bump into each other again (see Swaziland last week).
We nosed around Maseru and then drove the 60Kms or so south to Mafeteng, returning to Maseru - then headed north-east through Teyateyaneng, Hlotse and Butha-Buthe to Joel's Drift then all the way back to Maseru.
Don't know where most of these piccies were taken!!
What was most notable was how dry everywhere/thing was, with lots of erosion, dried-up river beds etc...
Foreground is a bit blurred because of dried stalks in front of lense. But - can
you see the village...?? maybe 20+ rondavels spread out between the 2 black
areas of shadow (from top left down towards upper centre).

From now on - we're getting close to the Lesotho/South Africa Border and then cross into the Orange Free State.
