Working at ICL Harrow ? From approx: 1-Jan-65 to approx 1-Jul-67 - Cannot remember why I moved from Putney to Harrow?? think it was like this??.
OUP
Oxford University Press (OUP) were a new 1500 client in ?Cricklewood? up on the North Circular just south of the Welsh Harp. I think they needed someone to organise their operations ? and I was deputed by Putney to do the job!
 | Met Barry McGinn at OUP and have been trying to find him ever since ? even calling McGinns on the telephone when I visited Melbourne in 2000. He was 1500 operating whilst on a round the world trip from Oz ? met lots of his traveling companions ? Dianne (who he later married) a couple who managed a pub in Cookham ? the one directly over the road from Moor Hall etc.. and long after Barry had returned to Oz ? Lynette and Raymer Savage ? his cousins or something. |
| Harry ?Levine? (contractor) was writing programs for OUP ? his daughter turned out to be a genius ? in the press a lot ? years later. |
| After a few months ? OUP employed Leo ?Boyce? to be Operations Manager ? very nice and funny man ? enjoyed working with him |
| Other names ? Roy Bowditch was IT Director/Manager at OUP ? Jane ?? was Chief Programmer, PE were Consultants, cannot remember their man?s name. Peter Eagles was programming there too ? Wendy ?? was (later to marry Peter). |

When OUP finished I moved into Harrow office working for John Minter ? some sort of centralised role for all the areas in the region ? and then more for Terry Baxter and LNW Area.

Met Darryl Mills there and new joiners were John Braithwaite, Richard Sabido, Rita Burhouse, and some while later Tony Bull, Brian Bold, Ian Limbrick, Malcolm Shuttleworth, Andy Roland.
