Thanks for your reply, great to hear from you.
I have been in touch with my old friend Nick Sands, and have put together all the class names we can remember, I feel that perhaps you wont recognise any of them but here goes.
Peter Warnes,Laurie Walton,Ian Coates,Donald Claridge,Michael Drake,Michael Langdon,Colin Wright,Robert McDougal,Leslie Whittle,Michael Dadvies,Nick Sands,Michael Woodman. And the girls,Gloria Hill,Gloria Maunders,Valerie Walters,Pamela Haygreen,Josephine Hollinrake,Anne Potter,Carol Mann.
Some staff names McVeigh,Jenkins,Major Hurley,Ms Williams, The rest were art school who you probably wouldn't know.
It would be great to hear from some of these names, but who knows where they all are now? Do let me know if you have success with your search.

I?ve been racking my brain? would you, in those far distant days, been fair haired, average height ? and for some silly reason I remember a beige pullover..???
We?ve heard from Mick Burrell, who also used to travel in from West Drayton ? he?s still in the area, and would you remember a group of girls (also West Drayton), blue uniform, went to some Convent school in Acton ? I only remember one name Anne Jones, she used to live at Hayes End and was into Buddy Holly & the Crickets.
Alas, I don?t recognize any of your class names ? but do you remember Kaz, Julie and was it Yvonne?? They were Art School and used to come to the lunch-time jive sessions in the hall on the ground floor of the old school.

Dear Mike,
My name is Mick Woodman, and I have found your information on Ealing Tech at Lammas.com. I was at the art school from 55 to april 57 when I left to take a modelmaking job at Shepherds Bush. I lived at Yiewsley near West Drayton and traveled on the old Great Western. I would love to hear from you as I have no contacts at all from Ealing apart from a Nick Sands who I have just found again after thirty years. I have e-mailed Martin Cocker twice, but so far no reply. I cant recognise any staff names mentioned apart from Jenkins who was my form teacher.
Foulkes was head of the commerce (Gestapo) and Lightfoot was head of the art school, drove an old Humber saloon, and Foulkes drove a Jowett Javelin. I am trying to remember as many names as possible and will write them down to pass on.

Good to hear from you - so you were one of those "arty" types hey?? Cannot place you so far - but we'll work on it.
I can remember catching the 08:19 (at Hayes) - looking out for Leslie Gale who would have boarded at West Drayton - initially steam locomotives and later the dreaded diesels.
You're right about Foulkes' Jowett Javelin - I remember that too - what a disaster trying to remember so much - at least Martin Cocker has a diary and can quote from that - I've copied him and the other boys we have so far contacted to see what they can add - but like you said - replies seem to be slow - maybe something to do with the number of intervening years, and urgency.
Have a look at the web-site I've knocked up (it only works for Internet Explorer (I think)) and let me know if you have problems.
I'm just settling into a new life in Singapore - this is my first full day of being back on-line - so keep the contact going.
