Many thanks to Chris Ward - who passed on this photo of the staff..its also in the Grange Park web-site (http://www.gpex.freeserve.co.uk).

reckons the following:
Back Row left to right Mrs Gordon. Mr Clapham (possible) Mr Evans and Mr Frank Taylor (our Football Teacher).
Middle row: extreme right Miss Hughes who became Mrs Davis after marrying another teacher and she was Chris' class teacher when in the football team.
Front Row: middle Headmaster Mr Thompson a real gentleman always raised his hat to the ladies.

This one is of the magnificent
Soccer Team, that won the Hawes Cup in 1954/55. Alas its very difficult to
identify the stars, but we think:
Left to right Front Row: Ken Hipper, Tony Borlace (maybe - Tony - is that you??), John Magill (Notice the plaster on his head), Peter Turner, Robin Scrimshaw, Keith Richardson, Billy Bunn or Chris Ward (I reckon its Chris Ward).
Back Row: don't know (maybe Mr Taylor), Chris Ward or Mike Curley, Colin Pool, Mike Curley (possibly), John Lugard.
As you can see - we're totally at a loss here... 5 possible sightings - but also... where are Geoff Barrow and Ron Mills??

Furthest back are Mr Evans (left) and Mr Taylor (right).
Standing (left to right) - Lugard, Pool, Ward, Mills, Bunn, Curley
Sitting - Scrimshaw, Richardson, Turner, Barrow, Magill and right in front Ken Hipper.
