Be a Risc Buddhist

Back to Rules to live by

In the computer world the acronym Risc means "reduced instruction set" - and it was used to identify "lite" computers - i.e. they offered less features, but also cost less, and were easier to program/use.

I don't like religions, clubs - things that you join and are "all of one accord", so I don't want to be a Buddhist. But, I believe that they live by some rules that are sensible, and this one really appeals....

Reduce possessions - one of the greatest things I did was to throw most of my possessions away - furniture, computer, tools, clothes and now survive on what can be fitted into about 6 suitcases.

Because I have less (possessions), I have less to think about - "when do I have to renew car insurance, subscriptions, have I paid the utility bills?" etc.. these thoughts never occur
