Yes, yes - the boys were here!! 9th February they zoomed off to New Zealand (see map and some details here) and on their way back to Germland, they stopped off in Singapore for a couple of days. An excellent visit:
Florian Stuertz & Matthias Hildebrandt on arrival at Changi airport 18:30 14/03/2003 - we went out that evening - poor guys had been awake most of the previous night, then flown from Auckland to Sydney to Singapore, then we took them out until 01:00AM!! Went to Boat Quay, and Thai food, then on to meet up with Soo Hua and Julie in Victoria Bar in the Intercontinental Hotel - alas - didn't take the camera.
Next day (15/03) Lunch at the Beach Bar, then walking back along East Coast Park to do some shopping at Parkway Parade
Dinner at La Cave in Chijmes 15/03/2003.....................this shot - was an attempt to get the lights and architecture of Chijmes - failed
16/03 was a lazy day, but had to get them to the Merlion and Raffles Hotel, for photo-opportunities.
Around 21:00 16/03 they were off again
In our lobby waiting for the taxi...finished Check-in - they'd been bumped up to Business Class..but 10 minutes later, they were back down to Economy - shame!!
And off they went..... a good trip - thanks for coming boys!! Hope the flight home and the weather on arrival were not too "uncomfortable".
